First Late Night of the Year.

This last night.. or this morning was the first time I had to stay up so late working on any school type work. Due to my procrastination I had to stay up pretty late working on a painting for my art class. Though it was late when i finished it was still okay compared to my normal sleep pattern. However, just before I went to sleep I check my email and realized that I had a 5+ page paper due today. Instead of putting it aside like I always do I ended up doing it because of the massive amounts of points its worth. Well I ended up going to sleep around 3:30am and I missed the class which assigned the paper because i was too tired and slept through the alarm.. and now.. i'm still tired.. oh well.

I am officially [Registered]

APU has to improve their online registration system. There are so many problems that we have to deal with just to get something registered. One of the biggest problems is the systems great want to hold us back by popping up the "You have not completed the perquisite for this class." which I have. The other problem is the difficulty of looking at all the schedules at once. Since the time they stopped the printed copy of the class schedule we have to click forward and back and forward and back again, just to see which class I want. If it was printed flipping through the pages would be faster and more efficient. However, all in all, I got the schedule I wanted and I'm satisfied.
Correction: I added a new class.. here is my schedule.

Red Rock Rendezvous

This weekend was just great. I don't know how to describe it other than "Great". Me and Ty went to Red Rock for a climbing festival called Red Rock Rendezvous. There was free swag and food and beer, however I didn't have any because we snuck in and bailed the fee like any poor college student would do. The place was so beautiful. Green Grass with a walls that rise high up into the sky all around. The event was always festive with music and contest going on all day and all night. One of the most unique things about this festival is that there are pro climbers everywhere and they just chill around. So you'll be walking to the restroom and you'll past by Chris Sharma and Lisa Rands. There was also Chris linder, Tommy Codwell, and many other pro climbers there. The Climbing there is on sandstone. At first the it feel a bit sketch because there is always a layer of loose feeling dust there but after you get use to it it has really great climbing. Everything from short sport climbs to 19 pitch trad. Me and Ty got so many climbs in this weekend. Sport the first day and trad the second day. Here are the oh so pretty pics.

On.. Off Blogin' and a Good Day Climbing

So the past two weeks.. or maybe three I have not been posting as much entries as I'd like. When I started, I imagined that I would be posting everyday, but that just isn't happening. My life is not that exciting for me to have a post everyday. It either need to be exciting, super deep, or a major drama queen. I am none of the above so I guess I'll have to accept the fact that I can't post everyday. However, I will try to post a bit more often then once a week.
Well about today. Today was the best day of climbing I've had since.. long ago. I sent 2 problems in stoney point that i've been working on since..half a year ago. And they were solid sends. I can pull it again and again. One of called the The Crack V5 variation and the other is Crowd Pleaser V2/3 R. Crack is a series of overhanging finger locks to a lie back. I've been working on this problem over and over again, but finally nailed it today with each move dialed in. Crowd Pleaser is not a super hard problem except it is is super high and committing. There is a not so good horn you shoot for 16-17 feet off the ground with a heel hook and a mantle. This problem scared the crap out of me.

Outdoor Adventure: Joshua Tree, CA

So this weekend was another week of adventures. It was alot shorter than my last trip but it was just as fun. Joshua Tree, CA, was the place we went to this weekend. The group I took out there this week was a fun group and a bit different than the usual group. We had way more girls than guys during this trip, which was a nice change. Well anyways... we did some climbing on Thin Wall of Real Hidden Valley, Night Caving in Real Hidden Valley, Rapelling in Echo Rocks, and we hiked to 49 Palms Oasis. Happy happy times. well here are the pictures... enjoy!
